California Wax Myrtle (Morella Californica)

Morella Californica, or more commonly know as California Wax Myrtle, is a tree shrub with dark green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Morella. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 33 feet at maturity. It’s duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early summer and is intolerant of shade. Morella Californica or California Wax Myrtle‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of California, Oregon and Washington.
