Common Serviceberry (Amelanchier Arborea)
Amelanchier Arborea, or more commonly know as Common Serviceberry, is a tree shrub with dark green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Amelanchier. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 50 feet at maturity. It’s duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Amelanchier Arborea or Common Serviceberry‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
