Balsam Fir (Abies Balsamea)

Abies Balsamea, or more commonly known as Balsam Fir, is a tree with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Abies. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 60 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Its active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid summer and is tolerant of shade. Abies Balsamea or Balsam Fir’s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Connecticut, Iowa, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
